Balkanstroi inaugurates new 70M leva factory

Balkanstroi, a major Buglarian construction company, has built a new plant in Razlog to be operated by Technowood. The 70 million leva timber factory has been built with financial resources from the company and, partially, with a loan from Post Bank.
Technowood will produce a wide array of goods including timber for the construction sector and the retail market. The factory, spanning a 10 000 sq m parcel of land, already employs more than 200 workers, while the projected business plan envisages that it will employ 450 by the end of 2010.
The production lines and machines have been produced and supplied by Weining Concept.
Technowood has the capacity to process 50 000 cu m of timber annually. The firm aims to supply 25 per cent of timber for the local construction market by the end of the year as well as 20 per cent of doors, windowsills, window frames and other furniture.
Technowood conducts business with other partnership organisations, large and small scale distributors as well as leading furniture firms in the country.
