Foreign investments in Bulgaria mostly in real estate

Most direct foreign investments in Bulgaria are made in the real estate sector, says Yulian Balchev from the Bulgarian Agency for Investments.

According to national statistics they amount to EUR 215 million.

Surveys of the Agency show that the financial sector stands second in the list of foreign investments, while production ranks third.

Bulgaria, however, provides new stimuli for attracting more companies with higher added value.

The main advantages of this country in view of foreign investments are: ensured financial stability for investors and competitiveness in the sphere of operational expenses, the Bulgarian Agency for Investments source points out.
