Morovitsa cave is situated in the Central North Bulgaria, at the foot of Balkan mountain between the town of Yablanitsa and the village of Glozhene, 2 km away from the Monastery of Glozhene. The city of Lovech is located about 58 km away from the cave, towns of Teteven and Yablanitsa - around 13 km away. The capital Sofia is some 112 km away, the distance to the main road Sofia-Varna is about 12 km.

Morovitsa is one of the many caves in Teteven mountain and one of the largest Bulgarian caves. It occupies two floors, the total lenght of the underground galleries is 3.25 km and the depth is 150 m.
During the research of Morovitsa, ancient pra-historical objects was found - dated back from the times of the New stone age and the Stone-copper age. Today, the finds can be seen in the Museum of History in town of Tetevn.
The cave is extreamly interesting because many of the bats' species in Bulgaria can be found in the cave. Morovitsa was pronounced a nature landmark in 1962.

There are two eco-paths leading to the cave- one from village of Glozhene and one from Glozhene monastery. Both paths are very well marked, and the distance is about 45 min by foot. The paths pass through the Monastery's fountain and the beautiful field Manevitsa - both turned into a lovely palces for rest.
