Krakra fortress

Krakra fortress is located in the southwest part of the town of Pernik, on the right bank of Struma river on a small rocky plateau. It is 2 km of the centre of Pernik and 32 km of Sofia.
The place was inhabited since V - VI century B.C. Some consider that the fortress was constructed by khan Omurtag and was used as boundary fortress. It is named after the famous boyar Krakra which
