House-museum "Georgi Veltchev"

The house-museum Georgi Veltchev exists since 1961, when the home of the artist has been donated to the city by both his brother Vladimir Veltchev and his sister Pavlina Veltcheva. In 1995 the museum has been reconstructed and most of the paintings have been restored. There are 240 works of the great painter preserved  in the museum and 50 of them are on display.
Except for its regular exposition the museum exhibits works of remarkable classical and modern artists in Bulgaria. The museum also carries out internationl cultural projects and has established and organizes one of the most significant visual arts festivals nationwide - the festival "August in the Art".
