Kmetovtsi is a village in the municipality of Gabrovo, Gabrovo region.
The village is located 7 km north-east of Gabrovo, 4 km north of the village Bozhentsi, about 20 km north-west of Tryavna, 15 km south-west of Dryanovo and about 240 km from Sofia.
Kmetovtsi is situated at the foot of Balkan mountain, on the riverside of Bozhana, on about 500 m altitude.
The climate in the region is characterized by long cold winters with long-lasting snow, while the summer is cool.
The population numbers about 60 people.
Kmetovtsi has good infrastructure-there are a community center, shops, restaurants offering traditional Bulgarian cuisine, pizza. There is regular bus transport to and from Gabrovo and the neighboring cities.
The village is a well-known place for rest in mountain and rural tourism. Here are reserved unique architecture Bulgarian houses of XVIII-XIX c.
