Dzhulyunitsa is a village in Lyaskovets municipality, Veliko Tarnovo region.
It’s 3 km from the main road Sofia-Varna, 23 km from Veliko Tarnovo, and 19 km from Lyaskovets. Sofia is on 240 km and Varna – 190 km.
Dzhulyunitsa is located in a hilly district, on the border between Fore-Balkan and the Danube Plain. There’s coniferous wood in the region, which is perfect for hunting.
Dzhulyunitsa River runs through the village and its upper stream is known as Veselina River. It’s very suitable for fishing, bathing and picnicking.
11 km from селища is the Pehchana dam, in the vicinities of which there is a restaurant and fishing and water sports club.
20 km from the village, in the “Chestovo”, near Lyaskovets there’s a horse-riding club for elite horses for racing.
There are interesting historical finds: necropolis from the Neolithic Age, Romanian citadel, Byzantine tomb and remains from the most ancient European man.
The basic branches in the region are vegetable, vine and fruit-growing, as well as stock-breeding.
