Vetren is a village in Burgas municipality, Burgas Province.
 
Тhere are another four places bearing the same name in Bulgaria - in the Municipality of Silistra, District Silistra, Municipality Nevestino, District Kyustendil,  municipality of September, Pazardzhik region and Maglish municipality, Stara Zagora region. 
 
It is 14 km northwest of the center of Burgas, 19 km in the same direction from the international airport in Sarafovo quarter, 13 km northeast of Kamen and about 415 km east of Sofia. The highway Burgas - Sofia passes near by. 
 
It is situated in Burgas plain near the shore of Lake Atanasov. The climate is characterized by hot summers with average temperatures in July around 24 ° C and mild winters, with average temperatures in January around 1 ° C.
 
There are a kindergarten, elementary school, hospital, church and shops in the village. There is regular public transport to and from the village.
 
The area lying between the village Vetren and Banevo is called the Burgas Mineral Baths. There are mineral springs known for their healing properties since ancient times.There are sanatoria and rest homes.
 
The village has a monument dedicated to those killed during WWII.
 
In Burgas the toursists can visit the sea garden, the Gallery, Burgas Opera, State Theatre and many others.
