Being a village named Kestrich in the past, nowadays Vinitza is a quarter of the city of Varna. It is located 5 km away to the northeast from the city and 2 km away from St. Constantine and Helen resort.

The buildings in the area a mainly one and two storey houses, but for the past few years many 5-6 storey residential buildings, hotels and complexes. Many greenery, quietness and tranquility just а few kilometers away from downtown the city are the main assets of the quarter.

In the quarter there are: a post office, a secondary school "Panayot Volov", a kindergarten for children aged 2-6 years No. 24 "Iglika", an orthodox church, medical centers, a veterinary clinic, pharmacies, gas-stations, a town-hall, a bank branch, horse breeding base, many hotels and shops.

Nearby are: St. Constantine and Helen resort, Euxinograd, Golden Sands resort and the villa zone of the city.
The nearest beach is the one in St. Constantine and Helen.
