Zheleznik is a quarter in Stara Zagora, located in the western part of the city. The district carries one of the ancient names of Stara Zagora.
Zheleznik has a population approximately 35 000 people. Majority of buildings in the neighborhood are panel blocks built between 1984 - 1990 year. In the neighborhood has developed a modern project for street lighting with energy saving lamps with thermo-protection. Nearby is a road E-773 (Sofia - Burgas). Currently in progress  is the building Regional Police Department, a private kindergarten and primary school. Here is the former shop Asko Denitza which is reconstructed into hypermarket "Technomarket Europe - for equipment In the neighborhood in the hills around it are built many small buildings and houses, which is facetiously called the "neighborhood of the rich" or "Beverly Hills in the Balkans.
