Dolno Varshilo is a village is Souther Bulgaria, part of Municipality Septemvri, Pazardzhik Region.
The town of Pazardzhik is situated 39 km northwestern direction from the village, the distance to the town of Septemvri is 28 km and about 70 km northwester direction is Sofia city.
The village is the smallest in this municipality because there are about 10 inhabitants. That is the reason why the town-hall is in the village of Gorni Varshilo that takes care of both places.
The terrain is hilly plain with average altitude of 500 m.
The climate is transcontinental. Snowy but mild winter with average temperatures about 1ºС, sunny but cool summer with average temperatures about 24ºС.
The infrastructure is well-developed. There is electricity and water-main.
Trakya Highway goes through the village.
There is direct transport link to the town of Septemvri.
The closest medical and education establishments are in Septemvri.
There are good condtions for growing potatoes, oats and forage crops.
The Yavorovitsa River goes through the village and west of it are the remains of a medieval fortress.
The area around are pleasant for hunting.
Also there is a dam close appropriate for fishing (Topolitsa dam – about 15 km away).
Borovets Resort is situated about 40 km western direction from the village and offers great opportunities for relaxation in the beautiful nature around and for the people that enjoy winter sports. Borovets is a preferred location and starting point of many hiking trails in the Rila Mountain. In the evening the resort has a very entertaining nightlife.
