Kilifarevo is a city in Veliko Turnovo municiplaity, Veliko Tarnovo region. 

It is ituated 11 km south from Veliko Tarnovo, 29 km northwest of Elena, 18 km east of Dryanovo and about 230 km northeast of Sofia. South of Kilifarevo begins one of the major mountain passes - The Pass of the Republic /Hainboaz/.

The city is located in Kilifarevo valley at an altitude of 303 meters. The river Belitsa passes near by. The climate is characterized by warm summers and cold, snowy winter.
The population is about 2,500. There are regular buses to Veliko Tarnovo.

There are electricity, water supply and sewerage systems in Kilifarevo. There are coverage for mobile operators, cable and satellite TV and Internet available. The city offers city-hall, community center, primary school and kindergarten. The city has shops, restaurants, cafes, a pharmacy and guesthouse. There is a swimming complex with Olympic size swimming pool and tennis courts.
Medical care is covered by a general practitioner and two dentists, and the nearest hospital in the city of Veliko Tarnovo.

• Churches St. Archangel Michael and St. Mary have kept icons of XIX century
• Community Center Napredak was founded in 1882. There is an amateur team.
• The Historical Museum is located in Saraliev house which was built in the early XIX century. The exhibition includes original material, photographs, diagrams and documents that reveal the economic, political and cultural history of Kilifarevo end of antiquity to today.
• The Clock Tower is located adjacent to the museum. It was built more than 200 years ago. and today is a symbol of Kilifarevo.
• Kilifarevo monastery Virgin Birth is located about 4 km southeast of the city. It was founded by Theodosius Tarnovski during the years 1348 and 1350. Today, the monastery is one of the busiest in the country and is part of the 100 national tourist sites.
