Apriltsi is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in the municipality of Kirkovo, Kardzhali region.

In Bulgaria there is a town that has the same name like the village and is located in Lovech region.

Village of Apriltsi is situated about 2 km south from the municipality center - the village of Kirkovo, 47 km south from the region center - the town of Kardzali and 310 km southeast from the city of Sofia.

The population is about 130 people.

The village is situated in the Eastern Rhodopes at an altitude of 500 m. The terrain is plain and hilly and the climate is transitional Mediterranean. Typical are relatively mild winters and long and hot summers.

The village has a town-hall and in the village of Kirkovo is the nearest police station, health center, hospital for emergency medical care, vocational school, secondary school, kindergarten, community center and pharmacy. The nearest hospital is located in the town of Kardzhali.

The main crops cultivated in the area are tobacco, pepper and fruit trees.

Tourism

The region has facilities for fishing tourism and recreation, which is located near the village of Mazhentsi. At the base there are constructed pond and 4 bungalows.

In the area of ​​the village of Kirkovo is located the massif of Gyumyurdzhinski snezhnik that is the largest protected area in the Eastern Rhodopes since 2003, and in the "Varnitsata" area there is a mineral spring with a capacity of 20 l/ sec. Water can be used for balneology, bottling оф натурал mineral waters and soft drinks.
