Balkantsi is a village in Northeastern Bulgaria, part of General Toshevo municipality, Dobrich Region. It is located 28 km northwest of the town of Kavarna, 40 km west of the town of Shabla and 17 km from the town of General Toshevo 70 km north of Varna and Varna International Airport.

The rlief is flat. The climate - temperate-continental with the typical for the area hot summer and cold, snowy winter. The population is approximately 90 people. Altitude - 100 m.

Balkantzi has a good infrastructure - there is regular transportation to the town of General Toshevo and the nearby villages, Internet, a community center with a library, a food shop, a cafe and a granary. The village is supplied with water and electricity on a regular basis. The roads are in a good condition.
All conveniences are available in the nearby village of Vassilevo which is located some 2 km away from Balkantzi. Several English families have purchased properties in the village and live there year-round.

nature

The nature in this part of Bulgaria is very beautiful. The climate is mild, because of its proximity to the Black Sea, which favors the development of eco and rural tourism. Excellent location for recreation and relaxation.
Due to the favourable climate and the fertile land in the area the main occupation of the locals is plant-growing and grain-making.
