Bela is a village in Northwestern Bulgaria. It is located in the municipality of Dimovo, Vidin region.

It is located 6 km east of Dimovo city, 42 km in the same direction from Vidin and about 171 northwest of Sofia city.

The village is situated in a small valley of the Belshtitsa river, on both its sides. The average altitude is 207 m. The terrain is mountaneous. The climate is characterized by cold winters and hot, dry summers. It is located between the only two tunnels on the railway Mezdra-Vidin.

The population numbers 246 people who are occupied mainly in agriculture - production of wheat, corn and sunflower. Livestock is also practiced.

Sofia - Vidin highway and an asphalt road to Belogradchik pass through the village and Belogradchik
 
The village has public buildings, railway station , school, two cooperative buildings, several agricultural barn, a church, two shops and a pub .

The name of the village comes from the white clay, which is abundant in the area. Also over Bela was the summer residence of the king of Vidin - Ivan Sratsimir, which was built entirely of white stone, but this palace was not preserved until today.

Tourism and landmarks:

In the land of the village have been found artifacts dating back to early antiquity.
In Bella you can see a monument of Boyan Chonos, Church, Bobuka waterfall - about 20 m high, Vreloto well, which provides water to more than 30 villages in the region.

Magura cave located about 20 km west. The cave is one of the most beautiful in the country, a part of the Hundred national tourist sites. It was carved from a river. It occupies over 30 000 sq m of area and the total length of the galleries found so far is about 2500 m.

Belogradchik Rocks - one of the most famous rock formations in Bulgaria, also part of the Hundred national tourist sites. The rocks are located 20 km southwest.

Rakovitsa monastery Sveta Troitsa /Holy Trinity/, which is located 39 km northwest. Founded in 10-11 century, after the fall of Bulgaria under Ottoman rule the monastery declined. It was restored in the 17th century by St. Pimen of Sofia, but in the late 18th century, was destroyed. Currently it is restored and operating.
