Drabishna is a village in Southern Bulgaria and is a part of Ivaylovgrad municipality, Haskovo region.

The settlement is situated 5 km southeast of municipal center of Ivaylovgrad, 47 km east of Krumovgrad, 50 km south of Svilengrad, 120 km southeast of Haskovo and 300 km southeast of Sofia. Only few kilometers west of the Bulgarian-Greek border.

The population is about 80 people.

The climate in the region is characterized by mild winters and little snow coverage, the summers are hot  - sometimes the temperature reaches 40 ˚C. Spring comes early - at the beginning of April and the autumn is long and warm. Through the village passes Armira river.

Drabishna is water and electricity supplied village. It has infrastructure, streets are paved. The nearest kindergarten, school and medical facility are located in Ivaylovgrad.

Landmarks

The Chapel in Drabishna was built in the 18th century and was named "St. Peter and Pavel". A few years ago the residents of the village gathered money and fully repaired the chapel that attracts believers from all over the area.

The church "St.Georgi" was built in 1858 and is included in UNESCO list, because is more than 150 years old.

Lyutitsa fortress - the castle is one of the largest and the best preserved in the country. It was declared as an archaeological monument of culture.

Mezzek fortress - One of the best preserved Byzantine fortress of the VI century. It is located 6 km southwest of Svilengrad and is a part of the fortresses guarded the approaches to Constantinople. Near the fortress is a Thracian tomb, which annually attracts many tourists.

Picturesquely situated in the southeastern end of the Eastern Rhodopes, the village is a place of beautiful, majestic scenery, ancient history and living heritage.
