Gomotartsi is a village in northwestern Bulgaria. Located in the municipality of Vidin, Vidin region.

It is situated 15 km northeast of the town of Vidin, 72 km in the same direction from the town of Belogradchik and 245 km northwest of Sofia city.

The altitude reaches 99 meters. The climate is temperate-continental with relatively cold winters and hot summers.

It is situated on the banks of the Danube river. There is a railway line near the village.

The village has a church , town hall and official football team. There are a GP and a dentist. In the town of Vidin you can find primary, secondary schools, kindergartens and specialized medical care.

The village has electricity and water. Most of the streets are paved. There are functioning street lights, coverage of mobile operators and bus transport to Vidin and the surrounding villages.

The population of the village numbers about 720 people.

Gomotartsi means noise of many people gather in one place.

Tourism and landmarks:

The church "Sveti Petar and Pavel" - the construction ended in 1916, it has been built with funds from the villagers, donations from Romania.

The church is built with double-baked bricks. Rails of the metal structure and one of the bells were donated from Bucharest. Another bell was purchased from Vienna, Austria with funds collected from the villagers.

An ice-box- deep dugout in the church yard in which villagers put layers of winter snow that remain until summer.

In Vidin one can visit: The Castle Baba Vida, the Turkish konak /police office/ Koluka, turned into a museum, the mosque and library of Osman Pazvantoglu, the Ethnographic Museum Krustata kazarma, Stambol Kapiya and many other cultural and architectural monuments, which the city is famous for.
