Gorno novo selo is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Bratya Daskalovi Municipality, Stara Zagora region.

It is about 20 km north from community center village of Bratya Daskalovi, about 37 km north from the town of Chirpan, 53 km southwest from the town of Stara Zagora, 220 km southeast from the city of Sofia.
Bus connects it with the surrounding villages. Through the village passes the shortest path from the town of Chirpan to the popular SPA resort of Pavel Banya.

Gorno novo selo is situated at an altitude of 597 meters in a picturesque area at the foot of Sredna gora mountain. The climate is characterized by high heat and the winter is relatively crude.

The permanent population is about 157 inhabitants. The streets are paved, there is coverage of mobile operators. In the village operates a community center. The nearest schools are in the village of Naydenovo (about 9 km south). The nearest hospital is in the town of Chirpan.

 
Nature and sights

Around the village two rivers flow. One of them forms dam with clean mountain water.
At 4-5 km  west  is located the medieval fortress "Kaleto" and for several years it is a subject of archaeological study.
Near the village there is a religious place "Bobata" - there can be lit candles, read prayers and sacrifices are made for health.
About 5 km north of the village, in the eponymous summit is located "Kavakliyka" hut. Preferred and popular place for accommodation and tourism.
