Izgrev is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is part of Elhovo municipality, Yambol region.

In Bulgaria there are 7 more villages with the same name - in Blagoevgrad region, in Burgas region, in Pleven region, in Sliven region, in Smolyan and in Shumen regions.

The village is located 3 km east of Elhovo, 22 km northeast of Topolovgrad and 40 km south of Yambol.

Population is about 600 people.

The terrain is flat and the soil is fertile and suitable for growing almost all kind of fruits and vegetables. The climate is continental with little impact from the Black Sea and the Mediterranean. The area is one of the hottest in the country - the average temperature for the coldest month - January is 1,2 ° C.

The village has electricity and water. There is a regular bus transport to neighboring towns and villages. There is a town hall, a library and a community center where are kept the traditions of Christmas, the lazar girls and authentic folklore. The village has a doctor, grocery shops, a pub. The nearest school and kindergarten are located in Elhovo.

Sightseeings

"Dolna topchia" Reserve  is located in the lands of Izgrev. Forest area is dense, and the animal kingdom is represented by birds - pheasant, blackbird, thrush, starlings, owl, owl; and mammals - fox, jackal, rabbit, wild boar, fallow deer.

Beautiful scenery, clean air and rich game area attract many fans of alternative and hunting tourism.

Ethnographic Museum in Elhovo is part of The hundred national tourist sites and offers the visitors a wide variety of artifacts, photographs and documents related to the development of the region during the period from Liberation till nowadays.

The village has its annual festival at 6th of May - the day of St. George.
