Izvorsko is a village in north-eastern Bulgaria and is part of Aksakovo municipality, Varna region. It is located 10 km away from the city of Varna, 5 km away from Aksakovo, 4 km away from Varna airport, 8 km away from Port Varna and 25 km away from Golden Sands resort.

Its former name used to be Dervent. The population numbers to 900 people. Altitude - 304 m. The relief is various - rolling hills and flat meadows. The climate is temperate-continental specific for the northern Black Sea coast. The autumn is mild and warm, the spring is rainy and windy, the summer is cool and the winter - mild.

In Izvorsko there is a secondary school, a kindergarten, a community center with a library, a doctor's office, an orthodox church built in 1860, a park, children's playgrounds. A brand new factory of the world-famous company WEBER for the production of construction materials  is about to be built near the village. It should put the beginning of a business zone in conformity with all requirements for preserving the nature. Some 4 km away from the village there is a petrol-station. In Izvorsko there is a regular electricity and water-supply, a digital telephone operator is available, as well. There is a regular public transportation to Varna and the nearby villages. Coverage of all mobile operators is available, as well.One of the most significant assets of the village is its proximity to the city of Varna and all the conveniences and services the big city offers.

nature

The nature surrounding the village is preserved, ecologically clean and very green. The local people are predominantly engaged into agriculture and stock-breeding. Near the village, among a century-old forest passes Batova river and lies a small dam-lake. The area offers excellent opportunities for the development of hunting, fishing, rural and eco-tourism.
