Kapitan Dimitrievo is a village in Southern Bulgaria, part of Municipality Peshtera, District of Pazardjik.

It stands about 12 km south of the town of Pazardjik and about 10 km north of the town of Peshtera.

The village residents are about 850.

The relief is flat and hilly, with average altitude of 200-290 m.
The climate is continental, with sunny and warm summers, and mild winters with little snow.

The village infrastructure includes partially asphalted and lighted streets, full electrification, water supply system, partial sewerage, Internet and telephone lines.

There is regular bus line from and to Pazardjik.

Kapitan Dimitrievo has a town house, post office, school and community center. The church was built in 1857, and re-built in 1920. There are shops and restaurants.

Attractions

The river Pishmanka runs through the village center, dividing it into two parts.

About 25 km away is the town of Batak-a place with many natural resources and excellent conditions for fishing, hunting, rural and hobby tourism, mountaineering, as well as winter and water sports.

The resort of Tsigov chark is about 30 km. With the reservoir of Batak and the  slopes of Rodopi peak Golyama Syutkya /at 2186 m/ the place is offering year-round tourism-fishing, hiking, etc.

The town of Velingrad, famous for its spas is at about 50 km, attracting tourists from around the country and from abroad.
