Komarevo is a village in northwestern Bulgaria, part of the municipality Slatina, Vratsa Region.

Three more settlements in Bulgaria have the same name. Located in Provadia municipality, Varna Region, Municipality Berkovitsa, Montana Region and Dolna Diocese, Pleven Region.

It is 40 km northeast of the town of Vratsa and 14 km south of Byala Slatina.

The population numbers about 280 inhabitants.

The terrain is lowland, with an average altitude of about 174 m.

The climate in the region is temperate in winter temperature are around -2ºC and in summer around 23ºC.

The village is well-developed with excellent infrastructure, including electrification, water-main, partial sewerage, telephone, internet and cable TV.

Regular bus transport connects the village to the towns of Byala Slatina, Vratsa.

There are community center and church. There is a network of shops and cafes.

A general practitioner serves the population of the village.

Places on interest and tourism

Skat River passes through Komarevo, which offers good conditions for hiking, walking, organizing picnics and fishing.

The convenient connection of the village with Vratsa allows visiting attractions such as Ledenika cave and Vola top, where a monument ossuary in memory of the fallen in the battle for liberation from Ottoman slavery. Every year on June 2 a celebration is held.
