Kosovo is a village in Northwestern Bulgaria. It is located in the municipality of Bregovo, Vidin region.

There are three places with the same name in Bulgaria - in the regions of Kyustendil, Plovdiv and Shumen.

The village is located 6 km southwest from the municipal center Bregovo city, 28 km northwest of the town of Vidin and 223 km in the same direction from Sofia city.

The name originates from the bird blackbird and the area where the village is located .

Kosovo is in the temperate-continental climate zone, with relatively cold winters and hot summers. The average altitude reaches 99 m. Its population numbers about 420 people.

The village has electricity and water. The majority of the streets are paved. There is mobile phone coverage and buses to Vidin.

Kosovo has a GP, town hall, church, school, kindergarten, community center, square , shops, gym and dormitory . The school is closed. The children go to primary and secondary schools in Bregovo city. There are dentists in Bregovo and medical centers in Vidin.

On the outskirts of the village is the border with Serbia.

One of the remarkable things in the village are the flowing springs.
In Vidin attractive for tourists are: the Baba Vida fortress, dating from the X century, related to the defense of the city during the Middle Ages, the Kale fortress, the Cruciform barracks with an ethnographic exhibition, the Turkish Konak "Koluka", the Mosque and the library of Osman Pazvantaglu, the Sveti Dimitar cathedral, the Mausoleum of the first Bulgarian Exarch Antim I, etc.
