Kunino is a village in Roman municipality, Vratsa District.

It is located about 10 km northeast of Roman, about 49 km east of Vratsa, about 16 km southwest of Cherven bryag andabout 110 km northeast of Sofia.

The village lies at the foothills of the Bankan Mountain, on the bank of the river Iskar. The average altitude is 321 m
The climate is characterized by warm summers and cold winters.

The population is about 600 people.

Kunino has shops, a church and a railway station and the only technical school in Bulgaria for stone-cutting. The nearest kindergarten is in the village of Radovene /6 km away/ and the nearest hospital is in Roman.

Landmarks:

The most attractive tourist site in the village is the cliff Chervenitsa. Furthermore near Kunino there are more than 200 caves, some of which reach to a depth exceeding 100 meters.

The home of the academician Sava Ganovski is turned into a museum with an ethnographic collection.

In Gradishteto locality near the village there was a fortress to the fall of Bulgaria under Ottoman rule. One of the towers is completely preserved in the foundations today.

Due to its great natural resources, location and picturesque scenery, the village Kunino provides good conditions for hunting, fishing and eco-tourism.
