Lozen is located in the municipality of Strazhitsa, Veliko Tarnovo region.
In Bulgaria there are four villages bearing the same name - in the municipality of September, Pazardzhik Region, in Sofia Region, in Lyubimets Municipality, Haskovo region and in Stara Zagova municipality, Stara Zagora region.
The village is located 43 km north-east of Veliko Tarnovo, 13 km north-west of the town of Strazhitsa, about 25 km east of the town of Polski Trambesh, about 30 km south of Dolna Oryahovitsa and about 33 km from Gorna Oryahovitsa.
Lozen is located on the riverside of Shipa, on about 220 m altitude.
The climate of the village is characterized by hot summer, cool spring and cold winter, as snow about 50 days a year.
The population numbers about 500 people.
Lozen has a well developed infrastructure: most streets are paved, the village has electricity and water supply. There are shops, church, restaurants, cafes, community center, town hall, post a pre-medical care and kindergarten. The village has a football team named "Lozen" which was founded in 1945.
In the nearby village of Kamen, located 7 km away, has a dental office, primary school and gas station.
In Lozen unable to accommodate visitors. Nearest hotels or family homes are located in the city of Strazhitsa.
Due to the proximity of the river Shipa, there is opportunity for development of fishing tourism.
