Village of Mogilovo

Mogilovo is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Chirpan Municipality, Stara Zagora region.
It is about 27 km northeast away from the town of Chirpan, about 24 km southwest from the city of Stara Zagora and 211 km southeast from the capital city Sofia.
Regular bus transport connects the village with the town of Chirpan and district city Stara Zagora.
Village of Mogilovo is situated at the foots of Central Sredna gora mountain at 280 m altitude. The permanent population is about 200 inhabitants.
The climate is temperate continental and is characterized by strong influence of the Mediterranean. Summer is hot and dry and winters are mild with no major snowfalls.
There is a community center and shop in the village. Nearest schools and hospital are located in Stara Zagora.
Mogilovo borders with Chatalka dam and other smaller dams, which makes it a suitable place for rural tourism, hunting and fishing.
Proponents of the cultural and historical tourism have a chance to visit the following sites situated in cities located not far from the village.
