Village of Oreshets

Oreshets is a village in northwestern Bulgaria. It is located in the municipality of Dimovo, District of Vidin.
It is located 19 km south of Dimovo city, 55 km in the same direction from Vidin and about 165 north-west of the town of Sofia.
The average altitude is 400 m. The climate is characterized by cold winters and hot, dry summers.
The population numbers 2 people. Residents have emigrated at the train station. Most of the residents of Gara Oreshets have villas in the village of Oreshets. It was abandoned, with no water, no working shop or working enterprise.
The village has a church - "St. George". It is very beautiful outside, but it is destroyed from the inside.
Tourism and landmarks:
The famous Belogradchik Rocks - one of the most famous rock formations in Bulgaria are located 5 km to the west.
Oreshets is located in a valley and has a very beautiful scenery.
