Near the village of Perunika, on a steep hill named Dzheneve, a medieval fortress was found. Around the fortress were found coins, fragments of medieval pottery and a couple of iron objects. Under the fort there is a perennia spring.

In the neighboring village of Rogach / 5 km south-west of Perunika / is situated the Rock tomb - sanctuary, locatedon a cliff on the right bank of the River Krumovitsa. This archaeological site is revered by locals as sacred as there are the two small holes on the rocks resembling human steps, which are called “The steps of Ali" (a Muslim saint).

The close proximity of the village to the municipal town allows visiting a lot of sites of importance for the historical and cultural heritage of the region. In the center of the town one can see the remains of a wall, part of the foundations of a fortified settlement.

The mosque "Seytlyar dzhamisi" is also an interesting site. The mosque was built in 1855 on the foundations of an old wooden mosque from XVI - XVIII century and is believed to be one of the main reasons for the existence of the town and surrounding villages.
