Pevtsite is a village in Southern Bulgaria. It is part of Karlovo Municipality, District of Plovdiv.

It stands about 9 km north-west of the town of Sopot, about 14 km away from Karlovo in the same direction, about 70 km north of  Plovdiv and about 130 km west of the capital of Sofia.

About 1 km away from Pevtsite there is a railway station. There also is European route E871 linking the village to Karlovo and Sopot, reaching the town of Burgas to the east and Sofia to the west.

Due to its favorable location, the settlement has excellent rail and bus transport links.

The village is located in a hollow next to the river Stryama, and the average altitude is 452 m.
The climate is continental, with warm and dry summers and moderately cold winters.

The population is about 420 residents.

Infrastructure-wise  Pevtsite is settled with partly asphalted and lighted streets, electric and water-supply systems, coverage of mobile operators.

There is a town house, church and shops at the disposal of the residents. The closest kindergarten is in the village of Hristo Danovo about 8 km north-west, the closest school is in the village of Iganovo about 2 km east.

Medical services are provided by GP in thevillageofHristo Danovo. The closest hospital is in the town of Karlovo.

Attractions

The village of Pevtsite is located close to the Central Balkan National Park, which is one of the three national parks in Bulgaria. Among majestic landscapes is preserved the amazing diversity of flora and fauna of the Balkan Mountain along with its associated traditions and livelihoods. Central Balkan is a place for tourists with different interests. There are conditions for a variety of activities - hiking, riding and cycling, photography, bird watching,and observation plants and large mammals.

There are numerous cultural monuments in the towns of Karlovo and Sopot, which can be visited.
