Ravninata is a village in southern Bulgaria, Rudozem Municipality, Smolyan region.

It is about 9 km southwest from the town of Rudozem, nearly 28 km southeast from the town of Smolyan and in the same direction 23 km southeast from the town of Madan, nearly 47 km from Pamporovo resort and 270 km from the capital Sofia.
From the town of Rudozem there is a regular bus to the village.

Village of Ravninata is located in the southern Rhodope Mountains at 1100 m altitude. The climate is temperate. Characterized by mild and long winters, and summers are cool.

The population is about 170 people.

In the village there is a general store and cafe. There is cable TV, internet and mobile phone coverage. In the village of Byala reka / 8 km northeast / a town hall, community center, nursery and medical office. Nearest hospital and school are in the town of Smolyan.

SURROUNDING AND ATTRACTIONS

Eco trail Ravninata offers diverse and engaging opportunities for tourism. In the area of ​​peak "Holy Bogoroditsa" and at the end of the village of Ravninata, where the route passes a table with benches. At the end of the route at the foot of Mount "St. Todor" there is a beautiful gazebo. The route is attractive for its location, historical relics and rich flora and fauna. These peaks are the remains of a church and a chapel from the Middle Ages.

Medieval fortress "Koznik" - situated on a cliff above the town of Rudozem. It can be reached by Eco trail "Kechi Kaya" - "Koznik". The castle is part of the whole fortification system, which in the past has served to defend the Rhodopes.
Ancient Temple under the Mount "Tsigansko gradishte".  This historical landmark is reached by Eco trail "Tsigansko gradishte" - "The court".

Mosque and "The Golden Quran" in the village of Chepinci(16 km). It is the emblem of the village and is the only one in the country with two minarets of a 35 m with a rich library with over 800 publications and books in Arabic and Persian philosophy, astronomy, Islamic law and rhetoric.

Monastery "St. Helena" (formerly known as "Saint Irene") over Plovdivtzi village (12 km).

Sights in the town of Madan:
- Cave Museum "Sharenka". This is the first in Bulgaria Cave Museum.
- Area Gabata - a small rock cave in which they found pottery pieces from different eras.
- Nearby is the rock 'Rimpapa " 50 meters high, resembling a man with a cloak.
