Stob is a village in Western Bulgaria, part of Kocherinovo Municipality, District of Kyustendil.

It stands about 65 km south-east of the town of Kyustendil and and about 5 km north-east of the town of Kocherinovo.

The population is about 740 residents.

The relief is mid-mountainous, with altitude about 650 m.
Climate in the region is continental, characterized with mild winters and warm and dry summers.

The infrastructure of Stob includes partly asphalted and lighted streets, electric and water-supply systems and telephone lines.

About 6 km away is European route E79, connecting the village to the towns of Dupnitsa, Blagoevgrad and Sofia.

There is regular bus transportation to and from Kocherinivo, and once a day there is a bus to the town of Rila.

The village church with unique architecture St. Prokopiy was built in 1873 and the valuable murals and icons there are well-preserved.

GP visits the village providing medical care to the residents.

Attractions:

The village itself is a place of great historical and archeological value. It has been an interesting cultural center.

The village famous landmark is the "Stob Pyramids." They are rock pyramids with average height between 7 and 10 meters, as some reach height of 12 meters. They vary in form, but most are conical and finished with a stone cap, similar to mushroom.

Rislska River runs by the village and is a favorite place for walks and recreation.

Rilla Monastery St. Ivan Rilski is less than 30 km away.
