TOURISM

The Kardzhali dam, one of the largest dams in the country, is a wonderful place to relax in the nature and to practice different kinds of water sports in the summer. There are a few hotels, villas and restaurants nearby which offer excellent conditions for tourists from the country and abroad. New pedestrian bridge above the dam connects the village of Suhovo with the village of Dazhdovnitsa /10 km in the north-east/.

Very interesting for the tourists are the floating pontoons-restaurants offering a rich fish menu. There are also jets, water wheels and water skiing. There is a modern rowing base built-up nearby.

Fishing here is quite well developed as the dam offers a great assortment of fish - carp, catfish, tolostolob, zander, perch, commonrudd and other kinds.

At about 52 km north-east of the village is located the medieval complex Perperikon which is part of the 100 National Tourist sites and represents a large megalith sanctuary.
