Valchek is a village in northwestern Bulgaria. It is located in the municipality of Makresh, Vidin region.

It is located near the Bulgarian - Serbian border, about 9 km northeast of Makresh village, 35 kilometers southwest of the town of Vidin and approximately 184 kilometers northwest of Sofia city.

The average altitude is 161 meters. The climate is characterized by relatively cold winters and hot summers with little rainfall.

The village has electricity and water supply systems. There is mobile coverage and bus service to the town of Vidin.

The population of the village numbers about 56 people. There are a primary school and kindergarten in the neighboring village - Rakovitza / 27 km west /, and the village of Makresh has kindergarten. A majority of the streets in the village are paved with street lighting.
