Varvara is a village in the municipality of Tsarevo, Burgas region. 
  
In Bulgaria there is another settlement bearing the same name - in September municipality, Pazardzhik region. 
  
Varvara is located 5 km south of Tsarevo, 74 km in the same direction from Burgas, 3 km north of Ahtopol and about 460 km from Sofia. 
  
It is situated on the beach at the foot of Mount Papia in Strandzha Mountain and falls within the borders of National Park Strandzha.  
The population numbers about 300 people. Families from England, Switzerland and Germany also have properties in the village. 
  
Varvara has regular bus service to and from Sozopol, Tsarevo, Rezovo, Ahtopol and Kiten. 
  
There are fully developed electricity and new water supply systems and sewerage. There is coverage of all mobile operators, digital TV and internet are available. The village has several restaurants, grocery stores, hotels, guest houses, a sports complex, church and town hall. Nearest schools and hospitals are located in the town of Ahtopol. 
  
Landmarks and tourism: 
  
The village has its own beach, which is one of the most beautiful of the Black Sea coast. Varvara attracts tourists with its pure nature, crystal waters and the proximity of Strandzha mountain. Rocky bays with submerged reefs and caves are a favorite spot for diving and spearfishing. 
Each year in September is held council with fire dancing.
