Zlatna livada is a village in South Bulgaria. It is located in Chirpan Municipality, Stara Zagora region.

It is 13 km southeast from town of Chirpan - direction towards Dimitrovgrad, 47 km southwest from the city of Stara Zagora and 204 km southeast from the capital city of Sofia. There is a regular bus transport to the village.

Zlatna livada is situated along the river Stara, the altitude is 92 m. The permanent population is around 123 inhabitants.
The terrain is flat, and even the name of the village itself reflects its extremely fertile land and rich gardens.
The winter here is more severe than in the rest of the areas in Stara Zagora region, the summer is extremely hot.

There is a community center in the village, and the nearest school and hospital are in the town of Chirpan.

Cultural and natural landmarks

Zlatnolivadenski monastery "St. Anastasius"
The monastery of "St. Athanasius", also known as "Chirpanski monastery" is a nunnery. It rises on a picturesque hill above the village on the right bank of river Stara near its confluence in Maritza river. The complex includes the church (restored in 1961), cave-hermitage and spring with healing water.
According to recent studies and ethnologists archeologists "St. Athanasius" is the oldest monastery in Europe.

Roman Fortress
Remains of an old Roman castle and a road station are found on the opposite shore of the monastery of river Stara before it flows into the Maritsa.
Hundreds of believers come here to this day, attracted by the holy place of the nearby cave-hermitage and healing water.
