Voluyak is a village in Western Bulgaria. It is located in Sofia Municipality, Sofia District.
It is about 12 km northwest of the downtown of Sofia. The village is near the main road - Lomsko shose Blvd that leads to Petrohan Pass, Vidin and Montana.
Administrative area is served by Vrabnitsa village - address Nadezhda-3, bl. 328.
The population is about 2600 people.
The area is built mainly with houses and there are newly built low-rise residential blocks. Infrastructure is maintained. There are water supply, electricity and communications networks and partial sewerage.
Here function 146 Main School Evtimiy, kindergarten No 76, Community Center Sunrise, mail, police, medical center, two churches - St. George and St. Petka Paraskeva.
Voluyak is developing intensively. Here is one of the largest warehouses in Sofia for cold storage of foodstuffs. Nearby are some of the famous shopping centers such as: Metro, Aiko, Euromaster and others.
Near the village is the lake Voluyak Mramor /between villages Voluyak and Mramor/. It can be reached by public transport - buses № 30, 31 and 41 from metro Obelia.
Communications in the area are excellent because of its proximity to downtown and quick access through the main boulevards as Slivnitsa Blvd, Lomsko Shosse Blvd, Tsaritsa Joanna Blvd. Nearby is the Ring Road and Metro station Obelia.
