Mogilino is a village in the Central part of Northern Bulgaria. It is part of Dve mogili Municipality, Ruse Region.
It is 62 km south from the centre of Ruse, 27 km south-east from Dve mogili, 274 km north-east from Sofia and 182 km north-west from Varna. Regular bus transportation goes to Ruse and Dve mogili.
The population is approximately 260 people.
The village spreads out the eastern part of the Danube plain, on 375 m above the sea level. Plain, hilly area with humid continental climate. Hot, dry summer and cold winter.
Mogilino is provided with electricity, water, and communication equipment. There is a town-hall, a post office, a community centre with a library, a doctor, dentists, an orthodox church, commercial areas and guest houses.
The nearest education centres are in the neighbouring village of Baniska (7 km).
Place of interest is the local community centre 'Village Revival' where is the village library. The orthodox church 'St Dimitar' was built in 1882.
The region of Mogilino is convenient for hunting and fishing. It is close to big, picturesque dam (preferred place for picnic and fishing), and close to the hunting house 'Golyamo gradishte' - part of the state reserve 'Cherni Lom'.
Tourist sites in the region are: Orlova chuka cave - the second longest cave in Bulgaria; and the Girls Monastery 'St Marina' in village of Karan Varbovka - there is a holy spring with healing water.
