Hrabrovo is a village situated on the Provadiya plateau some 10 km to the south-west from the town of Provadiya and 70 km to the south-west from the city of Varna.

The population numbers to approximately 430 people. The climate in the area is temperate-continental with well-distinguished spring, summer, winter and autumn.The relief is flat-hilly.

history

The village had many names in the past - Fetie Gaazi, Gaazi Kyoy, Fetih Kyoy, Fete Kyoy - they all derive from battles carried out in the area in the XIV century during the Ottoman invasion in Bulgaria. In 1934 the village was named Hrabrovo which means "brave" in Bulgarian.

In the village there is a kindergarten, a doctor's office, grocery shops, a cafe, a mayor's office, a post-office. The infrastructure is very good - the roads are in a very good condition, regular electricity and water-supply is available. There is coverage of all mobile operators, as well as satellite TV and internet. Convenient transportation links connect the village to the town of Provadiya and the nearby settlements. The local school was established 1895 but is currently closed and needs to be repaired. The community center in Hrabrovo was founded in 1928. Many activities are carried out there - a  folklore singing and dancing group, gardening and knitting clubs and a rich library are available.

nature and landmarks

No heavy industrial production is present in the area, the nature is well-preserved and very beautiful. The village is peaceful, quiet and very green - many deciduous and coniferous trees provide a cool shade in the hot summer.
Tzonevo dam-lake is located 15 km away from the village and provides excellent opportunities for fishing lovers.
The locals are predominantly engaged into farming (production of wheat, barley, maize and sun-flowers) and stock breeding (cattle-breeding, sheep-breeding, goat-breeding, pig-breeding and bee-keeping).
An underground rock monastery has been revealed near Hrabrovo. Near the monastery there is a spring which, as the locals state, is curative.
