Tsatsarovo is a village is southern Bulgaria, part of Maritsa Municipality, Plovdiv Region.

It is about 6 km northwestern direction from the town of Plovdiv, 16 km southeastern direction from the town of Saedinenie and about 20 km southwestern direction from the town of Stamboliiski.

The population is about 2500 inhabitants.

The terrain is hilly plain with average altitude of 172 m.
The climate in the area is transcontinental with mild winter with temperatures about 0ºС and a warm dry summer with temperatures about 26ºС.

The infrastructure is well-developed and includes electricity, sewerage installation, water-main, telecommunications and cable TV.

Regular bus transport connects it with the town of Plovdiv. About 1 km away is situated Trakya highway.

There is a secondary school, kindergarten, community center and church.
There is a general practitioner serves the needs of the inhabitants.

Factories for the manufacturing of plastic products, packing of frozen vegetables; electronics and more.

 

Places of interest and tourism

Asenova krepost  is a medieval fortress in the Bulgarian Rhodope Mountains, on a high rocky ridge on the left bank of the Asenitsa River. It is situated 15 km from the town of Sadovo. The best preserved and most notable feature of Asenova krepost is the Holy Theotokos of Petrich Church from the 12th-13th century. The town of Asenovgrad takes its modern name from the fortress.

The Bachkovo Monastery or Petritsoni Monastery is situated 35 km from the town and is an important monument of Christian architecture and one of the largest and oldest in Bulgaria. It is located on the right bank of the Chepelare River. The monastery is known and appreciated for the unique combination of Byzantine, Caucasian and Bulgarian culture, united by the common faith.

Also close are situated the town of Chepelare and Pamporovo Resort. This locations have perfect conditions for winter sports and because their beautiful nature they attract tourists also in the summer.
