Mihnevo is a village in South-western Bulgaria, part of Petrich Municipality, Blagoevgrad region.

It is 77 km south-west from town of Blagoevgrad, 10 km north from town of Petrich, 159 km south from city of Sofia, 24 km east from the Bulgarian-Macedonian border at Zlatarevo checkpoint and 26 km north-west from the Bulgarian-Greek border at village of Kulata. Neighbouring villages are Karnalovo and Kavrakirovo.

Mihnevo spreads out the southern foot of Ograzhden Mountain, at 116 m above the sea level. Strumeshnitsa River passes in southern direction.

The climate is transitional Mediterranean. It characterizes with hot summer and mild winter.

The population is approximately 1100 people. The village is well-developed. It is provided with electricity, water and partial sewerage system. The communication nets are available as well - telephone coverage, TV (including cable TV), radio and Internet. Asphalted streets and round-the-year access. Regular bus transportation to the neighbouring towns and villages.

There is a town-hall, a comprehensive school, a kindergarten, a community centre, a church, a post office, a doctor, dentists, a police inspector, shops and other commercial areas.

The region of the village is favourable for early vegetable growing.

The traditional village fair and the church holiday take place on the day of St Spas. The town hall and community centre organize a concert, sport games and wrestles.

Just 6 km away is the place of Rupite - popular with the Bulgarian prophet Vanga who used to live there. Next to Rupite is the natural phenomenon Kozhuh Mountain - rock, shaped by an extinct volcano.

The guests may visit as well the smallest town in Bulgaria - Melnik (24 km), the biggest monastery in Pirin Mountain - Rozhen Monastery (30 km) and the national park-museum Samuil Fortress (23 km).
