Stroevo is a village in Southern Bulgaria. It is located in Maritsa Municipality, District of Plovdiv.

It stands about 14 km north of the town of Plovdiv and about 145 km south-east of the capital of Sofia.

About 5 km south is Trakia Motorway.

There is a regular bus line connecting Stroevo with Plovdiv, and 5 km west is the railway station of the village of Trud.

The relief is lowland, with average altitude of 177 m.
The climate is continental, with hot summers and mild winters.

The village population is about 1650 residents.

The infrastructure in the village of Stroevo is settled with asphalted streets and street lights, sewerage system and telephone lines.

There is a town house, church, school, kindergarten, community center, pharmacy, shops, day canter for elderly people and pensioners’ club.

Medical care is provided by a general practitioner and a dentist. The closest hospital is inPlovdiv.

Attractions:

About 20 km north-west of Stroevo are the reservoirs of  Pyasachnik, Pravishte and Chernozem, suitable for tourism and fishing.

In the lands of the village of Stroevo, 8 Thracian settlements and 8 mounds have been discovered. There are also two brick tombs, one of which is transformed into a museum.

Plovdiv is another destination, where tourists can learn about Bulgarian history and see many more attractions.
