Sini vrah is a village in Southern Bulgaria, part of Municipality Asenovgrad, District of Plovdiv.


It stands about 53 km south-east of the town of Plovdiv, about 30 km south-east of the town of Asenovgrad and about 200 km south-east of Sofia.

The village has hilly and mountainous relief, with average altitude of 1120 m.
The climate is with mild and snowy winters and cool summers.

The village population is about 20 residents.

The town house of the village of Vrata provides the administrative services for Sini vrah.
The infrastructure is well developed, with full electrification, water supply system and asphalted steets, as well as regular bus line to the municipal center of Asenovgrad, passing by the huts around Sini vrah.
The closest hospital and schools are in the town of Asenovgrad.

Attractions

Currently, the rural tourism is developing successfully. For the purpose, many tourist complexes, huts and villa settlement have  been built. About 50 km away from the village are the Bachkovo Monastery, the Thracian sanctuary Belintash, Asen’s Fortress, Krastova Gora, etc.
The rock phenomena Belintash is an ancient pre-historical sanctuary, possibly even an ancient observatory where Thracian priests of the local tribe Bessi have been reading the stars.
