Bebrovo is a village, situated on the Northern side of Eleno-Tvardishki Balkan in Veliko Tarnovo region, in the municipality of Elena.
LOCATION
It is 50 km far from Veliko Tarnovo, 200 km from Varna and 270 km from Sofia. It is located in a valley on about 430 m altitude. The main roads Velik Tarnovo – Sliven and Gorna Oryahovitsa – Burgas run through it.
TOURISM
There are remains of an ancient fortress and Roman path, as well as two medieval monasteries. The region is famous for its outstanding architecture and the great number of preserved houses from the Bulgarian national revival period.
The region offers well-equipped walkways, some small ski-runs, two swimming pools, gym, football, tennis and volleyball playgrounds, as well as eight ranges for sport orientation.
The Bebrovska river, also known as Brezovitsa and Kamenitsa runs through the village, which is suitable for bathing and fishing.
Tourists can stay in the private villa or room in the village or in Elena, which is only 12 km away. Other options are Chumerna and Bukovets huts and some touristic houses.
There is a village-hall, an elementary school, a cultural club and day nursery in the village.
