Location

Tsarigradsko Shose is the largest boulevard in city of Sofia. It is situated Northwest to Southeast, starting from the junction of Orlov Most Square and Evlogi Georgiev Blvd. and joins into Trakya highway, crossing the ring-road of the town(another important road artery around Sofia, about 60 kilometers long). Permitted speed at Tsarigradsko Shose is 80 km/h - in the area from Orlov most to the deviation of Gorublyane neighborhood. The roadways on both sides consist of four bands - three for cars and one buses and other vehicles of public transport.

Along the boulevard from Orlov Most Square /in the center/ to Trakia highway are located: Ariana Lake and Borisova garden, Iztok square, Musagenitsa quarter, Mladost 1 quarter, the District Hospital, Metro store and Gorublyane quarter. In the opposite direction - Druzhba 2 quarter, Praktiker shop, International Exhibition Center, Sofia Expo Hotel, Toyota Center, the State printing building, Poligona quarter, Rodina Poligraficheski complex, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences complex, Pliska Hotel, Geo Milev quarter, Yavorov quarter, the Printing and publishing house and again Orlov most square. The busiest bust stop is at Pliska Hotel and on the opposite side – the former Iztok Cinema, where a lot of vehicles for all capital's direction pass by.

Square of Aviation, better known as the crossing of the 4th kilometer, is an important avenue to Tsarigradsko Shose in Sofia, including the road junction of the crossing of Asen Yordanov and G. M. Dimitrov boulevards. The name "4th kilometer" is used for parts of neighboring districts Geo Milev, Poligona, Musagenitsa and Iztok. The shape of the unit is a combination of a standard type "diamond" ring movement of secondary fields. The main direction (Tsarigradsko Shose) passes under a bridge with a reinforced concrete structure tense.

Construction

The first in our country, and the largest project, for a neighborhood of  a "closed" type in Sofia bears the name as the boulevard - it is called Tsarigradski complex and now welcomes its first residents. The complex of about 160 000 sq.m. is in the area of Drujba 2 quarter.
From the one side of the clover of Tsarigradsko Shose (direction to the districts Mladost and Drujba) several large projects have been started. One of them is the shopping-mall and business center with total unfolded built-up area of 240 thousand square meters (about 70 thousand square meters offices). Other projects is the French chain Carrefour - except hypermarket and shopping center will be available around 7500 sq.m of offices.
Under construction are several major residential complex to which the interest is great, because of the communicativity of the boulevard and the fast access to the center, the Airport, Trakia highway and other parts of the capital.
